Hello, I’m Danielle Brody
I'm a media person, experienced in both editorial and marketing.
I currently work at Crain's New York Business as the senior project manager on our custom content team. With them, I pitch, package and produce custom projects for clients including advertorials, print sections, live events, digital landing pages, ads.
I still keep writing, freelancing for BORO Magazine (owned by Schneps Media), which covers Astoria (my beloved first home in NYC!) and Long Island City. My first (and favorite) story was “Haunted Spots in Astoria,” which was picked up by the Schneps' QNS newspaper and allowed me to meet the fascinating owner/caretaker of the 17th century Lent-Riker-Smith Homestead in Queens.
Previously, I worked at Westfair Communications (Westchester and Fairfield County Business Journals). I started as a reporter covering education, government, startups and features. I also wrote the "Wonderful Dining" column for WAG, which took me on tasty tour of some of the best restaurants in both counties. This may have led me to my role as the events and marketing manager there, producing news and awards events like a real estate forum and one of my favorites, the Milli Awards.
I now live in Brooklyn where I do yoga, host dinner parties and partake in standup comedy.
This site is a place for samples of some of my work.
